Every year at Spruce Meadows (Canada), a competition called the Battle of the Breeds takes place. Any breed can participate, and many representatives from each type of equine strut their stuff. Each breed competes over 5 days in Jumping, Trail, Barrel Racing, Precision Driving, and an overall assessment of the gaits and conformation.
Arabians (see picture) have reigned supreme over the years of the contest, with an astounding four championships…making them the most versatile and overall supreme breed!
